Ballet Core
Improve posture and coordination while creating a graceful physique with these easy-to-follow moves. Ballet Core is a strength-based class using ballet and modern dance techniques to strengthen your core. This class will help you get the ballet body you've always wanted!
The exercises repeat small movements in targeted areas, with strengthening, fat-burning segments followed by stretching to build lean muscle without bulk. No stopping and starting, just easy to follow moves that flow from one to another.
Belly Dance - Fundamentals 1
Students learn the most basic moves and isolations in this entry level class. Warm ups and stretches are used to tone and firm, drills for repetition and combinations for challenge. Class cools down with slower movements and yoga type stretching. The Fundamentals class is drop-in friendly, and taught in a unique way that is challenging for those who have taken belly dance before and want to return to basics as well as new dancers just learning.
Belly Dance - Fundamentals 2
This class builds on the foundations of belly dance, including zills (finger cymbals), veil and more complex combinations. Using these skills, you will expand your dance vocabulary to include new movements, variations and transitions incorporated into challenging choreography. Each class includes warm-up, technique drills, combinations, zills practice, and stretching/strengthening exercises to support your progress. This class is available to students who show proficiency in a Level 1 class.
Belly Dance Groove
Not your typical belly dance class! This is a high energy workout, fusing belly dance moves with fun and easy to follow choreography. No stopping and starting, just an unbelievable workout that flows from song to song while getting your heart rate up and work all parts of your body. Come shake your groove thing to a mix of International and modern music, while you shimmy your cares away. This class includes a review of belly dance posture, warm up, cardio segment, and a cool down.
No previous belly dance experience necessary, you can join anytime.
